Как ни парадоксально это звучит, наиболее интересные — в смысле оригинальности и нетрадиционности взгляда— исследования истории НАШЕЙ СТРАНЫ всегда, с древнейших времен, создавали ИНОСТРАНЦЫ. Почему?
Возможно, здесь сказывается суровая непредвзятость ОБЪЕКТИВНОГО НАУЧНОГО КРИТИЦИЗМА? Возможно, нам любопытна сама попытка «понять Россию умом»? Возможно.
Впрочем, прочитайте в чем-то явно спорную и неоднозначную, но в чем-то — бесконечно точную книгу специалиста по истории России, профессора Лондонского университета Джеффри Хоскинга «Россия и русские» — и решайте сами!
