Вот уже почти полвека книга известного специалиста по средневековой политической истории Англии проф. Дж. Ландера «Войны Роз» пользуется неизменным успехом. За это время она десятки раз переиздавалась в Великобритании, а теперь и у русскоязычного читателя впервые появилась возможность с ней познакомиться. Она стала первой из целой череды одноименных книг, написанных в разное время английскими историками-медиевистами о событиях, которые происходили в средневековой Англии в XV в. и были связаны с политической борьбой двух влиятельных династий — Ланкастеров и Йорков.
