Ричард Хоптон подробно рассказывает о традициях и истории дуэлей в разные исторические эпохи и в разных странах, и не только в Европе — в Англии, Франции, России и Германии, но и в США, где во времена Дикого Запада также имели место поединки, подчинявшиеся строгим правилам и своеобразному кодексу.
