Счастлив ли Он? Сказать "нет" — значит рассуждать не по-советски. Он выиграл в игре, в которой в проигрыше оказался весь народ. Следовательно, надо считать его удачливым. Ибо иначе будет поколеблена вера в систему, которая дала коммунистическому классу из всех своих благ самое главное — власть над запуганным, затравленным, униженным и оскорбленным человеком.

И еще к одному выводу мы подходим в нашем анализе: надеяться, что появится на арене советской политической жизни новое поколение коммунистов, способных привести режим к либерализации, — иллюзия. Ничто нельзя изменить в коммунистической системе, не ликвидировав ее как таковую. В таком случае, если (и когда) это произойдет, необходимо будет говорить о деятельности уже не коммунистических, а антикоммунистических лидеров. На этой идее, останавливая нашу работу, заметим: в ходе корриды наступает момент, когда бык, затравленный, разъяренный, истекающий кровью, внезапно перестает метаться и, устремив взгляд на своего мучителя, бросается на него и убивает. Этот момент известен у испанцев как момент "истины". Момент истины, несомненно, придет и для советских народов. Вопрос только — когда?
