Little God Nqa is just saying (Маленькое Божество Нква как раз говорит), ‘Go away (убирайся),’ but the Kangaroo is so busy dancing (но Кенгуру так занят танцем) that he has not heard him yet (что он его еще не услышал).

The Kangaroo hasn’t any real name except Boomer (у Кенгуру нет настоящего имени кроме Бумера [80] Вот такое крутейшее имя у него было. I don’t know the names of the flowers growing round Nqong’s bath (я не знаю названия цветов, растущих вокруг ванны Нквонга). The two little squatty things out in the desert are the other two gods (два маленьких низких и толстых существа в пустыне — два остальных божества) that Old Man Kangaroo spoke to early in the morning (с которыми Старина Кенгуру разговаривал рано утром). That thing with the letters on it is Old Man Kangaroo’s pouch (та штуковина с буквами на ней — сумка Старины Кенгуру). He had to have a pouch just as he had to have legs (ему пришлось приобрести сумку точно также, как ему пришлось приобрести /такие/ ноги).
